Unsung Heroes of COVID-19 (Part 2)

Dear Parent/ Guardian

Due to the ongoing epidemic we have decided to cancel all programs for the weekend. This means that children will be asked to help their parents/guardians with household chores, including drying moms tears when she is sad, hugging grandma when she looks tired and squeezing dads hand when he looks lost.

Parents/Guardians are also advised that there will be no unhappy feelings, but instead there will only be feelings of positivity, happiness and optimism. Due to the ongoing lockdown we have also extended our smiling times. This means that all individuals are to smile from 9:00am to 8:00pm, instead of the usual two hours a day. Should your cheeks start hurting then you are allowed to take a break in between the given times.

Children are to be told that the weekend will be a fun day, competitions will be held to see who gives the best hugs and who helps the adults smile the most. Winners of the competitions will get two free hugs and a kiss from mom, dad, grandma or grandpa.

As a gift of gratitude to all parents/guardians for their patience, understanding and acts of kindness in these testing times, we would like to say THANK YOU by offering a free virtual hug which can be received from your nearest loved one on behalf of us.

This has been a very difficult time for us all, but mostly for you. You have tried your best to help your family do better in this situation, some of you have lost your jobs while others have not been paid. But you stood straight, with a smile on your face, never allowing your family to know the hardship you are facing.

We salute you and pray that you are able to support your families and never wipe that beautiful smile off your face. You deserve happiness and we hope you receive it.

God bless!
