It’s Wedding Time! #DeepVeer

As the time gets closer for Bollywood’s Royal wedding, let’s take a look at Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s love story and their journey into bollywood.

Deepika Padukone.

Deepika Padukone

Born on the 5th of January 1986 in Copenhagen (Denmark), Deepika is the daughter of badminton player Parakash Padukone and travel agent mom Ujjala Padukone. Deepika is also the sister of famous golfer Anisha Padukone. Deepika made her debut in the bollywood film industry opposite the King of Romance, Shahrukh Khan, in Om Shanti Om . She then starred in many other films, these include Bachna Ae HaseenoChandni Chowk To ChinaDesi BoyzCocktailRace 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, amongst others.

Deepika has starred in more than 30 films, this also includes her 2017 hollywood debut movie xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel.

Ranveer Singh Bhavnani.

Ranveer Singh

Born on the 6th of July 1985 in Mumbai (India), Ranveer is the son of wealthy businessman father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, and mom Anju Singh Bhavnani. Ranveer made his debut with fellow colleague and actress Anushka Sharma, in the movie, Band Baaja Baraat. He then went on to star in films such as Ladies vs Ricky BahlLooteraGundayKill DillDil Dhadakne DoBefikre, amongst others.

The Love Story…


The stars started dating on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, where they starred opposite one another. The movie turned out to be a huge blockbuster, this was also one of three movies in which the couple were paired opposite one another by the same director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The other two films were Bajirao Mastani and the controversial Padmaavat.

For the next 6 years, neither Deepika nor Ranveer confirmed their relationship, but showed their love for one another through public gestures.

It was only in October this year when they announced their marriage on the 15th of November 2018, which confirmed their 6 year relationship.
